Oahu, I don't just love you, I'm IN LOVE with you.
So, a year ago I never even knew I was in love with Hawaii and that is so sad. It makes me aware of so many places across the world that would give me immense happiness that I will never see. The problem is, all I want to is go back to Honolulu because I’m in LOVE. How do you explore the world when you keep falling in love with every place you go and want to revisit? Good problems to have, I tell you!
Since Gabe and I went last year I was dying to take the kids. We took a 15 night cruise, made four Hawaii stops, and got to see a lot of places in Hawaii we never would have seen otherwise. I’m writing a separate post about the cruise because I have a lot to say about it and right now it’s hard to type with my grown out vacation acrylic nails still hanging on. I should have known I wouldn’t get in for a fill on time. I can’t make myself make time for myself. But that’s for another day as well. Haha.
The ship docked and Gabe took an uber to the rental car office and got us a car. When he arrived I lugged the kids off the ship and met up with him. It was so strange to wake up in paradise. It felt like we weren’t really there because we didn’t fly there. It was such a fun day. There were so many more things I wanted to do but I got to hit up my top three happy place location: The Royal Hawaiian. We have to stay there next time! We started at Waikiki Beach and made our way up to the pineapple plantation and on to the north shore. A magical perfect (as perfect as you can get on vacation with kids hehe).
